Mr. Bruhahn has over 33 years of hands-on IT experience, most particularly with management and planning of large, complex IT solutions. He has assisted Fortune 100 clients with a wide variety of server, storage/content issues and availability processes, including data center management and migrations, storage architecture, systems tuning, performance and capacity planning, remote vaulting, remote copy, network bandwidth analysis, telecom/VoIP, training, strategic storage futures, and document, email and content management, archival and e-discovery, especially with regards to regulatory and compliance issues. He pioneered high-bandwidth global data mirroring techniques using the internet rather than traditional, expensive telecommunications links. He also provided overall direction to Sandpiper’s Microsoft SQL Snapshot solution (MSSQLDBSNAPSHOT) currently on the market.
Mr. Bruhahn is responsible for all aspects of MVS, OS/390, z/OS, z/Linux, z/VM, AS/400, AIX, Unix, HPUX, Linux, Solaris, Windows, VMWare, HiperV, Xen, Polyserve and other consulting, architecture and design services, including functional specifications and principles, operating system and subsystem requirements definitions, capacity planning and modeling, performance tuning, SAN architecture and fabric configuration, enterprise monitoring and automation, availability management, project management and client training. His most recent architectural project is related to building a vertical cloud infrastructure and eco-system needed to support a health care customer’s requirements for medical imaging archival, e-discovery and regulatory compliance solutions.
He provides strategic business IT requirements assessment, design and conversion alternatives to support application portability and migration/conversion projects for mainframe to open systems including zOS, zVM, Unisys and VSE to Windows, HPUX, Solaris, Linux and AIX platforms. He can address and manage applications, data conversion requirements and ensure improvements to the end-user/customer ‘experience’ and provide validation and leadership needed to achieve overall project success. He provides processes and solutions to ensure regulatory and retention requirements are also supported as part of a migration, move or solution implementation project.
